Born in Kodiak, Alaska, I’ve been fishing from the riverbanks since I was a young boy. Having grown up in a commercial fishing family, I worked on boats for the family business from the age of 14 and became a captain in my 20’s and have been running boats ever since. But it wasn’t until 2016 after rowing friends down rivers to fish for several years that I decided to make this lifelong skill my own business.

As a Captain of fishing vessel Trailblazer, I also operate a snow crab and cod boat in the Bering Sea each winter, spending most of my life enjoying the bounty and adventure that Alaska and the Pacific Northwest provide.

When you spend a day on the water with me you will see that I truly enjoy each and every trip!  It is my opportunity to show you what I love to do.  It is my honor to witness the joy on your face when you get to hook-up with a salmon or steelhead in one of Oregon’s beautiful rivers or bays.

I try to plan for the future but live as if there may not be one. When I’m not working, my priority is spending time with my family. My amazing wife is my perfect partner and together we are raising two young children from our home in Newport, Oregon.
